Some previously unknown background to the origins of the first Phantom are finally revealed in The Search for Mu!  Originally, what we now know as the Bandar Idol was actually an idol worshipped by the giant Wasaka tribe, which had enslaved the Bandar.

The first Phantom freed the Bandar and in the process, adopted many characteristics of the idol including the famous Phantom uniform.  Now, The Search for Mu, throws light on the near-magical powers of the Bandar Idol.

You are about to discover it is all quite fascinating! Claes Reimerthi and Hans Lindahl, who worked together on the script and Cesar Spadari, who rendered the illustrations, have combined to weave a wonderful Phantom adventure.

It may not be the last we hear about Bandar Idols! They seem to be in abundance in and around the African Continent where apparently, the ancient Mu civilisation established so many colonies!
