My first response and impression when this story arrived was one of awe, largely due to the strength and darkness of his artistic interpretation.
See what you think, but I really like it’s brooding, edgy modernity and I believe Henrik Jonsson brings something new and exciting to his depiction of The Phantom and I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future! Claes Reimerthi’s story is up to his usual standard and there is a clever linkage between past, present and possible future events which might lead to a return of the villain at some stage but that is mere conjecture on my part!
The Heart of Darkness Part 3 - Nightmares completes this edition in magnificent style. Cue the scary music as Diana deals with murder and mayhem in what should have been just a routine sleepover at a girlfriends mansion. I’m not going into specifics or be a plot spoiler by saying Reimerthi seems to have refined the art of packing a lot into a short episode and Diana really shouldn’t leave home without her man!
