“Night of the Jesters,” is the beginning of a terrific two-part story written by Michael Tierres, the pseudonym used by Claes Reimerthi in his earlier years with Team Fantomen. The art for these stories was drawn by Santiago Jaime Vallvé Peralta. Jaime Vallvé was one of the best of the Egmont Phantom artists during the 1980s who specialised in historical stories from the chronicles, just like this one.
This first part of the story is a highly charged and satisfying read but it does leave you wanting more. Have no fear you won’t be left hanging for long as I plan to publish the gripping conclusion to this story next issue.
