“The Lights of Lake Bawkama” is a recent Fantomen story written by Sylvain Runberg with the art of Janusz Ordon. I believe this is Sylvian Runberg’s first Phantom story for Team Fantomen, however, a quick search for his biography indicates that he is no newcomer to the field.
Sylvain Runberg is a Belgian comic book author, based in Stockholm, Provence and Paris.
Janusz Ordon is a Polish comic artist who came to the Phantom in 2018.
After over a decade in the job, I’ve developed a deep respect for Phantom artists and their talent. Janusz can enhance each frame with a powerful and dramatic realism that smacks you in the face as the action heats up, which it invariably does!
It is with personal delight and not before time that I present Phantom Vietnam #9, “If I can dream of a better land,” by Paul Mason who invariably punches above his weight. Once again, the Phantom has to leave Bangalla and re-enter the war zone. King Wombo of the Wambesi tribe is gravely ill, and his son Prince Wambatta has been recruited into the Vietnam conflict. Nobody knows how he got there or where he is, but the Phantom has promised to find him!
Comic in mint condition.
Collectable!
